QUACKGRASS
- Perennial (Cool-Season)
- Leaf blades curl and twist
- Strong and deep root system
- Blue-green
- Commonly mistaken for Crabgrass

ORCHARDGRASS
- Perennial (Cool-Season Grass)
- Leaf blades are V-shaped
- Grows in clumps
- Base is flat and white
- Treatment: Sedge and Weedy Grass Control Program (suppression only)
BARNYARDGRASS
- Summer Annual (Warm-Season Grass)
- Grows in bunches
- Can grow up to 5 ft. wide and 4 ft. tall.
- Tends to lie flat on the ground and appears to be fan-shaped.
- Blades have a distinctive white midvein.
- Stems will usually be erect, thick and without hairs.
- Purplish maroon at the base.

YELLOW NUTSEDGE
- Perennial (Warm-Season Grass)
- Triangular stem
- Yellow-green
- Grass like
- Grow in moist or poorly drained areas
- Grows straight upward
- Shiny leaf blades

BENTGRASS
- Type: Perennial (Cool-Season)
- Very fine texture
- Bright green
- Grows low and spreads (creeping)
- Forms dense patches
- Thrives in moist conditions

GOOSEGRASS
- Annual (Warm-Season Grass)
- Grows flat
- Seedhead has 2 to 6 spikes at the top of the stem
- Commonly mistaken for Crabgrass

FOXTAILS
- Summer annual (Warm-Season Grass)
- Distinctive seedhead that leans over and looks like a bushy spike or fox’s tail.
- Grows upright
- Can grow 3-10 inches tall
- Treatment: Sedge and Weedy Grass Control Program
NIMBLEWILL
- Perennial (Warm-Season Grass)
- Flat, smooth, short and pointed leaf blades
- Blue-green
- Turns brown in early fall
- In cooler temperatures during the spring and fall, nimblewill often goes dormant and may appear brown or straw-colored.

- Perennial (Cool-Season Grass)
- Blades are wide and flat with prominent veins above
- Grows in clumps
- Coarse texture
- Drought and heat tolerant
- Good traffic tolerance
